Korea has a long history of brave women's deeds:
Mt. Busosan was at one time the site of the capital's fortress, and many of the ancient pavilions have been reconstructed there. Nakhwaam rock drops sharply from the peak of Mt. Busosan to the Paengmagang river 150 meters below. It is called the "Rock of Falling Flowers," for legend has it that when the Baekje Kingdom was defeated by the Silla Kingdom, 3,000 women of the Baekje royal court threw themselves off the cliff into the river below rather than submit to the victorious invading army. As they jumped, their colourful silk hanbok dresses billowed, giving the appearance of flowers gently dropping into the water.
