Western targets bombed in Indonesia

Indonesian police said a blast at a McDonald's restaurant was caused by a bomb timed to go off when the place was packed with people celebrating the end of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan. The explosion Thursday evening in Makassar on Sulawesi island killed three people and seriously wounded 11, National police chief Da'i Bachtiar told reporters in Jakarta. He said a similar device was used in a second blast an hour later in a car showroom about four km (three miles) from the restaurant. There were no casualties from that explosion
