...But of these sophisms and elenchs of merchandise I skill not...

Temptation breaks on; quieter than death but lovelier; peace
that quiets the desire even of praising it.

"No problem," Thornton said as he stepped into his office.

The girl in the chair was 16 or 17 years old with a short, red skirt and hair that drooped over her left eye. She looked up as Thornton entered.

He greeted her by name, and then asked: "Are you high?"

"No."

Thornton took her right hand and raised it to his nose.

"Why does your hand smell like weed?" he asked.

{the issue is not whether kids should be going to school high. that's the false argument that the system uses to trap the truth. so that a non-issue gets paraded around and dismissed out of hand. of course kids shouldn't be going to school high. the issue is whether the system/culture that maintains and staffs that school are worth any respect at all. the issue is whether children have a right to feel lost and void of inspiration. the issue is whether our children are right and should be encouraged to question and refuse to participate in a system that has allowed the current political tyranny to hijack the American government. the issue is whether or not it is entirely too late to change that system from within. the issue is whether or not the line has been drawn and it is now too late to waffle back and forth. the issue is whether we will continue to allow our children's lives to be consumed by what is so obviously a heartless, criminal, and cannibalistic enterprise.}
