Mr. Romero is the Administration's mouthpiece at the NYTimes for all things Latin American. He is a liar, and an evil man. But that would be expected given his position and its duties.
The cynicism necessary to write those deceitful sentences and shape them into misleading paragraphs must be a dreadful burden, though the rest of his life is probably pretty awful, too.
Comfortable, but awful just the same.
