The "terrorists" are so out of it they didn't realize that bombing Madrid three days before the election would make it look like the government that came in, the government that is doing what "they" want, the government whose intention it already was to do what "they" want - to withdraw Spanish troops from Iraq, to denounce officially and as a nation the invasion and the duplicity surrounding it - would now look like it had been coerced and intimidated. So that the bombing made the Spanish right wing look better than it would have, and the Spanish left wing weaker than it would have. So that the will of the Spanish people now looks like appeasement and cowardice instead of a brave refusal to be bullied and lied to.
Because those "terrorists" are stupid. Because they're so stupid they can't even think that through.
Not because it wasn't them that did it.
Because they're too stupid. Because who else could it have been?
There's nobody else around who's that desperate and that heartless.

Kerry for president will stop all that though, no matter who really did it, even if it was the same cowardly people responsible for the Ashoura bombings in Iraq. Heartless gutless cowards.
