(ed. imagine it was school. and it was the eighth grade. and the teacher left the usual kid in charge of 'monitoring' and you knew the rules and the likely outcomes.
one of the things I've never come to terms with really, not all the way, is the satanic unfairness of all this. the stupidity, the mindless thuggish stupidity. the arrogance the...well anyway. I'm leaning more and more toward tobacco road solutions. the idea of peace without complete reformation is just more business as usual. these boys are going feral. can you smell it on them? I can. the sweat of caged and chained animals released into the wild. the impact of the great open possible meeting their little forecast neurons, and their accurate assessments of their own incompetence increasing the desperation, the terrible fear they have that after all that rigging all that chicanery all that duplicity and demonic bargaining, IT STILL DIDN'T WORK!!!!!
