A day before yesterday, in a Letter to the Editor in the local paper in Halifax, a Jewish resident of the area was appalled to read a claim by a Palestinian also from the area that the Israeli conduct in the OT is Nazi-like. Indeed, this self righteous indignation at the gall of critics of Israel in, at times, comparing Israeli soldiers behavior in the OT to nazi-like behavior has been seen quite frequently. However, not as frequently as the accusation of Anti-Semitism, Neoantisemitism, or what have you at any criticism of Israel.
Unfortunately for the Jewish writer to the Halifax paper, his letter coincided with the news about the Israeli commander emptying his magazine into the body of an already dead 13 years old Palestinian girl (Remember the scene in Polanski's movie The Pianist). The futile attempt by the Israeli propaganda machine to claim that the girl was trying to plant a bomb simply adds a Goebelsian halo to this affair.
