The Joe Bob Report One other thing before I talk about anthrax. This is not the time for finger-pointing. I don't think it's reasonable to think that before September 11th our intelligence officials could have known much more than they did know. They knew that an attack was imminent. They knew that the World Trade Center had been attacked before. They knew that Osama bin Laden had attacked us in three other places around the world. They knew the names of all his associates because of a six-month-long trial of his fellow terrorists. They knew he had called on his followers to kill Americans with the deadliest weapons they could find. They knew the names and affiliations of several of the actual terrorists, and they knew they were in the country. So I think it's obvious what a fantastic job the CIA, the FAA, the DDI, the FBI and the YMCA have done and continue to do as they pool their resources and streamline operations in the wake of this unforeseen event that changed all our lives forever.
