Sharon tells all French Jews to emigrate
Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has called on all French Jews to emigrate immediately to Israel.
Mr Sharon said anti-Semitism in France has increased dramatically due to the quickly growing Muslim community.
Statistics released recently by the French Ministry of the Interior indicate the number of racist attacks on Jews rose sharply in the first half of this year. The same data shows a rise in racist attacks against Muslims during the same period.
The French government considers Mr Sharon's statement unacceptable and has asked his governmnet for an explanation.
