"A former leader of Argentina's military junta, General Reynaldo Benito Bignone, has admitted that opponents of the regime were murdered and tortured during what was called the 'dirty war'. In an interview with the French television station Canal Plus, the general said the Roman Catholic Church agreed to the torture. "
